Terraces at 87th Bring Elegant, Energy-Efficient Luxury Living to St. Petersburg

Underway in Sunshine City is the construction of the highly-anticipated Terraces at 87th, an elegant enclave of upscale townhomes on the corner of 4th Street North and North 87th Avenue.

North St. Petersburg will soon welcome Tampa Bay’s first-ever energy-efficient luxury multi-level homes, designed with elegant elements and resort-style amenities. The three-bedroom + den and four-bedroom floor plans are customizable, with residents able to select different floor plans and three designer kitchen packages.

The development is part of the region’s residential boom but is entirely unique for St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay. Since breaking ground in the summer of 2022, it has garnered traction, with construction underway on phase one of the project and the sales gallery opened to explore floor plans and finishes.

Each residence is an expansive three-story unit with open floor plans, nine-foot-high ceilings, and glass French doors for soaking in the sun.

“Since our groundbreaking ceremony, we have seen an even stronger response from the community,” said Jay Phillip Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Florida and President of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, Florida.

“Drawing upon the development team’s unique understanding of the market, this new community is perfectly situated with access to the best of both St. Petersburg and Tampa.”

Notable inclusions are luxury vinyl tiles, wood finishings, and classic Calcutta countertops. Looking inside, primary features are walk-in closets, double vanities and a glass-enclosed shower. The entire home welcomes a refined atmosphere and ease of living.

The local developers, Belleair Development Group, were not afraid to push boundaries with their project. Each unit comes with a four-car garage with generous storage capacity, a rare feature in Tampa Bay. The group also had sustainability in mind. Each unit contains top-of-the-line gas appliances, is enabled for energy-efficient solar panels and is equipped to charge electric vehicles.

“The Terraces at 87th will truly be a defining community in Tampa Bay,” said Belleair Development Group’s owner, Carlos Yepes. “The Douglas Elliman team and I are excited to welcome future residents as we have been taking the time to design and develop sustainable luxury homes.”

Third-story terraces with a summer kitchen and rooftop jacuzzi options invite private moments and entertainment. Community amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, a sun deck with spacious cabanas and lush landscaping with fire pits, grilling areas and a dog park.

The sales gallery for Terraces at 87th is open at 669 1st Ave N in St. Petersburg, with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing as the exclusive sales and marketing team.

Terraces at 87th is perfectly situated between Tampa and Downtown St. Petersburg, minutes from the tech/financial/office corridor and major employers like Power DesignJabil and Raymond James Financial. This highly-desirable area in St. Petersburg is also close to local beaches, world-class dining options, Downtown St. Petersburg and the St. Pete Pier. The proximity to the Gandy Bridge offers a fast route to Downtown Tampa. With major national retailers like Whole Foods coming to the area and developments announced almost daily, this area shows no signs of slowing in growth or desirability.
